Some fellow anime fans can be very unreasonable

I know how annoying it is when some anime fans, especially those who are into moe all the time got enraged over my criticism towards some moe titles or when I dropped some moe shows due to personal preferences. Man, it can’t be helped, and if there’s something need to be blamed, put it on the first impression. For me first impression is about whether the first few encounters excites me or not, where if it’s the latter I might drop the series. It doesn’t matter how much encounters one should have before they could drop a series. What’s important is whether they can enjoy and having fun with it or not. Anyways I must say these people have problems with criticism.

If I can’t enjoy it by viewing, I’ll have fun by criticizing instead. My way of having fun doesn’t have to be the same with you so don’t tell me how to have fun, because doing so is like you’re the one to define what’s having fun is all about, which is a selfish act. For these people it’s OK to criticize any anime as long as it’s not moe anime. However they always have the tendency to declare all anime as moe anime, as long as there are moe characters inside, regardless of what the genre or the story is all about. Three words, “That is ridiculous”.

Now I wonder if all anime are moe anime then what’s there left that are open to criticism? They should understand everything is subject to criticism because nothing is perfect. You may think you are better because you are able to accept the flaws but don’t think critics are any worse than you. If you see it from the opposite perspective (from the critics viewpoint), even critics are better than you because they are able to see things that you don’t. That’s what I call “critical vision” or “vision of perfection” because they are seeing the rooms for improvements instead of being easily contented by craps. And don’t call those critics as hypocrites. You can’t call people who criticize or even hate things as hypocrites just because they still embrace or own those things. Hypocrites are people who ask other people to stop doing that and that but they are still doing it themselves. Get your facts right before arguing.

Critics are not necessarily perfectionists. They are not haters either. They are just criticizing because they wish they could enjoy the same thing too. Critics are just people who are not easily contented by simple things thus they criticize it by mentioning the flaws so there will be improvements in the future. It’s a fact that craps does exist and some people are just too dumb to accept or to realize that. That’s why we need critics because they are able to point that out. It does not mean they are bitter. Well, it’s up to you if you enjoy things that I call crap because you can’t force me to change how I see it. It just come naturally, it’s my human nature and you can’t complain against the nature. After all it’s selfish to say criticism on certain things are unacceptable. Lets face it, nothing is immune from criticism. Don’t argue just accept it.
