As a hopeless romantic, this event has triggered multiple flags in my mind, and it is commanding me to get this anime.
However, an overriding command states that, the network is too crappy; hence, any attempt to get this anime will result in depression and self-destruction.
Still waiting for January 25th when my finals (which starts in 2 weeks) are over and I can finally use my cousin's internet to download this :D

Well there's a similar situation in our local music scene here, where ALL songs are loved-themed, as if love is the only singable theme in the world. The situation is not any better in the western world either, where regardless how many music genres they have there, from Alternative to Gangsta Rap, they're mostly composed of love-themed songs. That is why I love Japanese music. They explore all kind of genre, and often I found they made great pieces, sometimes makes me think as if the genre was originated from Japan. Even their love songs rarely contain the word 'love' but still sound very poetic. We should learn from them, (in terms of music) and on the other hand, their anime industry should learn from their music industry.

Strange. The network that I'm on can't seem to render the reCAPTCHA. Oh well, guess that's been circumvented at the moment.
I think the biggest reason that they are making so many cliched genres are because they're trying to get more money instead of making actually good stories like they used to do. That, or they're trying too hard to appeal to their biggest and easiest to manipulate target audience, the high schoolers and losing sight of their core value as a medium, the ability to tell a story and present an awesome eyegasm. It could even be that it's easier to come up with a story that already has a fanbase built into it (I call this lazy, but hang the carrot in front of the hungry donkey and you'll be sure to have the donkey following it sigh)
Or maybe all of the above, or perhaps none at all. I could always be wrong.

Your reviews are what you think and feel of what you saw when you watched the anime. It's one of the many ways to write a review, if not among the best. Pros and cons are always present, so ignore the haters who only look at the cons. Anyways, now I have some interesting animes (Gosick and Kore wa Zombie desu ka? is my pick for now,) to look for later. Thanks for the reviews XD

IMHO, fansubs were made by fans for fans, so the fansubbers sort of understand their audience better than the official subs made by the licensees. Which is exactly why I prefer to go for fansubs (or RAW once I have enough capability to understand the language of the anime that I'm watching, i.e. Japanese). In the fansub community, sharing is caring, and it seems that this message didn't arrive at the licensees' subbing dept.
